Abstract(EN)
Indian fine arts, particularly painting, is not only an expression of India's cultural diversity but also a profound presentation of its historical, religious, and social consciousness. This research paper delves into the origin, development, and various styles of Indian painting. It presents a journey from ancient cave paintings to contemporary digital painting. Major traditional Indian painting styles – Madhubani, Gond, Kalamkari, Pahari, Warli, and Phad painting – are established as cultural heritage. In modern times, Indian painting has not only innovated within the country but has also made its mark internationally. This research clarifies the role of painting in society, its symbolism, and aesthetic value. The aim of the research is to understand, preserve, and clarify the aesthetic and social role of Indian painting's legacy.
