Abstract(EN)

English Translation

Ravindranath Tyagi was a man of multifaceted talent. His creativity shone brightly in various genres, including humor and satire, poetry, novels, diaries, autobiographies, travelogues, short stories, essays, criticism, and children's literature. Although he gained recognition and prestige primarily as a unique humorist and satirist, he repeatedly emphasized in his letters, autobiographies, and satirical works that his core sensibility was that of a poet. Therefore, he asserted that to truly understand his literary persona, a deep dive into his poetry is essential. He had complete faith in his poetic ability, believing it to be of a unique caliber. A thorough study and analysis of his poetry clearly demonstrates its distinct identity within Hindi literature. The significant opinions of the most respected and renowned poets of his time, and several prominent critics, beg the question: why didn't this poet's work receive the acclaim it undeniably deserved? This can be considered a significant anomaly in literary criticism and justice. While his poetry collections received a few scattered reviews with pseudonymous signatures, not a single serious article comprehensively and systematically evaluates his poetry. In reality, the scope of his poetry is vast, and this research paper attempts to demonstrate that.
