Shrilal Shukla's satire and society were familiar with their surroundings and society. And he looked at it with his sharp eyesight. Literature written in every era is based on the role of the contemporary social environment. In it, the reflection of one's time and society can be clearly seen. An aware writer witnesses the inconsistencies, ironies, traditions, culture, etc., prevalent in his society and chooses the subject matter for his work from among them. Shrilal Shukla ji was face-to-face with his surroundings and society and looked at it with his sharp eyesight. He has raised both very simple and very profound topics in his works. He has deep faith in life and wants to experience life's essence to the last drop. At the same time, the sharpness of his satire is so sharp that it leaves a deep scar on the reader's mind. His writing process is somewhat different from other writers. This research paper presents a study of the various dimensions of Shukla ji's satirical works. Shukla ji has satirically depicted the economic exploitation of people in novels like 'Rag Darbari', 'Makan', 'Suni Ghati Ka Suraj', 'Pehla Padav' and 'Agnatavas', as well as in stories like 'Ek Naya Hitopdesha', 'Swami Se Bhi Zyada Swamibhakt', 'Nirdhan Padoshi Ki Katha', 'Gireftari', etc.
