Abstract(EN)
Goswami Tulsidas Ji was not merely a devotional poet, but also a great visionary, humanist thinker, and sage. Considering the socio-political situation and other challenges of his time, Goswami Ji's foresight inspired him to create a text accessible to the common people. The era in which Tulsidas emerged, and the challenges he faced, that dark age needed an ideal that would touch the hearts of the people and inspire them to emulate it. There was a need for a hero who, instead of mere verbal pronouncements, could present an ideal through his conduct. Shri Ramchandra Ji's character is imbued with sublime human qualities, and his actions authenticate him. With a broad and inclusive vision, Tulsidas presented to the public the ideal character of Ram, replete with higher values, morality, dignity, compassion, etc., for the welfare and salvation of all. Ram is not just an individual character but a social and public hero, through whom Goswami Tulsidas Ji projects human qualities. The Ram of the Manas is a magnanimous and great person. He embodies vastness, inclusiveness, generosity, love, compassion, mercy, and altruism. Human qualities are never narrow; they are expansive and eternal, and their nature is universal. Through Ram, Goswami Tulsidas Ji highlights courage, patience, strength, wisdom, altruism, forgiveness, and mercy.
