Abstract(EN)

English Translation

Rivers are of greater importance for agriculture in Sagar division as they make their area of influence fertile. For example, Sonnar and Vyarma basins in Damoh district, Betwa basin in Khurai, and Betwa, Ur, Dhasan etc. basins in Tikamgarh district, Chhatarpur and Ken river basin in Panna district. Canals have been drawn from the rivers for irrigation. A direct example of this is the construction of a dam on the Bina river near Shahgarh in Banda tehsil of the division, from which a canal has been drawn for irrigation. Besides this, fish are also caught from the rivers.
