Abstract(EN)
This research paper analyzes the changing nature of journalism in the digital age, its opportunities, risks, and societal impacts. The proliferation of digital technology and the internet has drastically transformed the form, structure, and functioning of journalism. While the advent of digital media has presented new possibilities for journalism, it has also introduced several new challenges—such as fake news, information overload, lack of source credibility, and a decline in journalist accountability. Journalism in the digital age has become faster, more interactive, and more accessible to the public, but it has also given rise to serious challenges such as fake news, information pollution, ethical crises, and corporate control. This research highlights the differences between digital media and traditional media, clarifying how digital journalism has reshaped the definition of mass communication. It also examines the extent to which digital journalism is influencing social attitudes, political discourse, and public opinion. The study finds that if journalism maintains its responsibility and ethical values, it can prove extremely beneficial to both democracy and society.
