Abstract(EN)

English Translation

Media trials have become a serious challenge to the modern democratic system. This is a situation where, in a criminal or sensitive case, the media starts declaring the accused guilty or innocent even before the court's decision. This not only affects judicial impartiality but also violates the fundamental rights of the accused, especially the right to a fair hearing. This research paper analyzes the trend of media trials, their causes, and their impact on the Indian judicial system. The research clearly shows that media trials influence public opinion, obstruct judicial impartiality, and violate the fundamental rights of the accused.
