Paul Pogba: The Story Unwritten

A rollercoaster ride, thats the only way to describe the player Paul Pogba was. His career has seen dizzying highs and frustrating lows. He was a prodigious prospect in the academy of Manchester United, the kid showed promise. He was blessed with incredible technique, great physicality and flair. It seemed like he was destined for greatness.

He rose to fame during his time in Juventus, where he flourished and became an impeccable midfielder and led his team to multiple Serie A titles. This caught the eye of his previous team Manchester United who bought him for record breaking transfer fees. This also led to enormous expectations from the fans.

However the incredible pressure and inconsistencies in his performance led to him facing enormous backlash from fans and the critics. They questioned his commitment and lack of form, and his ability to influence the  games like he should have. Various off the field distractions and managerial changes also became a cause for his shrouded tenure.

Yet his brilliance occasionally shone through albeit but a very few times. His incredible vision and acute sense of space led to him creating beautiful goals and assists. These moments were a testament that footballing magic still resided within him. His resilient nature and the very few glimpses of his undeniable talent still keeps his fans faithful to this day.

He remains a legend that although wasn’t successful at the club level was a world champion with France. His story depicts the unruly nature of the beautiful sport and his unbreakable will to redeem himself.
